Grünerløkka is the most popular district to live in for young adults and students due to the thriving cultural life, the many restaurants, shops and bars in the area. Just beyond Gøteborggata 8B is Vespa & Humla, which is a very popular eatery and microbrewery.

Close to the building you’ll find Sofienbergparken, where a lot happens in the summer. The park is an excellent place if you want to sunbathe, climb a rope, use outdoor exercise equipment or barbecue.

At Birkelunden, there are Sunday markets where you will find good flea markets and farmers selling their produce. Throughout the year there are "Løkka days", mini concerts on “Musikkens Dag” and other events that are worth attending. And you’ll have a short way home afterwards!
