FIRST TIME USER:
How does it work?
Your phone is the key to your room. You use the Anker Student app to unlock your door.
How do I register my phone to be able to use it as a door key?
Two weeks prior to your arrival you will receive an email to register your phone to enter the building, your apartment and other facilities.
How do I open/close the lock?
The lock does not open automatically, you have to turn the black knob to the right or left. Depending if the lock is on the left or right of the door. You must manually lock your door when you leave your apartment.

Can I access my room for the first time outside office hours?
From the day your rental period starts you can access your room at any time from 2PM. So you will not have to check-in and can open your door at any time you arrive. But remember to pick up your post key and laundry chip in the reception.
How do I know the dates that I have access to my room?
On the main page of your building you find the button "My keys". Here you can see from when till when you have access. This information is only visible once your phone is registered.
Do I need an internet connection to open my door?
No, you do not have to be connected to the internet to open your door. If internet is very limited you should switch to "flight mode" to open your door. After you have switched to flight mode, please restart your app.
DURING YOUR STAY:
My phone is stolen/broken, what do I do?
Please let the housing office know as soon as possible. We can arrange a temporary keyfob for you, until you receive a new phone. As soon as you register your key on another phone, your old phone will no longer be a valid key.
I have locked myself out.

I am not able to access my room.
During office hours: send an inquiry to the janitor via your login page.
Outside office hours: If you have problems to open your room, contact Securitas for immediate help (+47 901 23 952) and send in an inqury to the janitor via your login page if needed.
My phone ran out of battery (need charger).
You can charge your phone at the Anker Hotel (open 24/7) or call Securitas to borrow a power bank. When charging at the hotel, please contact the reception first to give them your name, apartment number and address. Charging via the hotel or Securitas is free of charge.
Can I buy a new phone and register this phone?
Yes at any time you can register a new phone via the registration page in the app for your building. The last device on which you register is the one that will work. You can register only ONE device.
Can I change the SIM card in the phone?
Yes, you can change the SIM card, your phone will still work as the key. So you can register your phone when you are still in your own country and change the SIM card when in Norway.
Can I get a second mobile key?
You can share your key with co-tenants or neighbours living in the same building via the KEY FRIENDS option in the App.
Soon you will also be able to share access to your apt with someone not living in a keyless appartment.
Good to know about keyfriends:
1. Sharing a key to someone else is a one-way share.
2. You can easily stop sharing a key by looking up the keyshare on the My Keys page and clicking on the X. It will first say "Pending", when the line dissapears your friend will no longer have access to your apartment.
3. When your tenancy agreement ends or you move to another room for some reason all keyshares will be deleted automatically.
Is it safe?
All your information sent over the internet is encrypted. Besides encryption multiple other safety measures are used to make sure only people with a registered device can open a door.
